GAME OVER. ELORO mobilization. 12 MARCH MEETING OF BRIDGE NO MOVEMENT

; A banner displayed at the exhibition this morning at Giampilieri wondered why the funds were not used FAS for the safety of one of the countries affected by the flooding. October 2009. The answer is that this is not because those resources are being used for anything else, for example to power the process of building the bridge across the Strait. The only money currently committed to the Bridge, in fact, public money and correspond to 1.3 billion euro headed for the FAS. It would thus be sufficient to end the devastating prospect of Monster Strait (for which have already been squandered hundreds of millions of euro, 110 only in the last year for drilling and final design) and use the resources earmarked for it to give satisfactory answers to the request for security that comes from people living in areas of seismic risk and hydro. This is our point of view. This is the central element of our platform of events which saw the participation of thousands of citizens. For the day today was scheduled meeting of the no bridge to take stock of the situation and put in the yard the next mobilization, but when (Wednesday) we had news of the demonstration called by the committees of the countries affected by the flood of 1. October we did not hesitate to postpone our initiative. We did so because they share the assumptions (the request for safety measures on the country) and why we did not want to limit, even if only minimally, to participate. In this spirit we have today Giampilieri and it is this viewpoint that encourages us to say, it urgent to go beyond the catwalk of politicians. Politicians, however, does not "bring bread home" since, almost a year and a half after the tragedy, remain largely unfulfilled promises made in the immediacy of the eve nts (remember all the one billion euro announced by the Pre ! President of the Council). The meeting was No Bridge postponed until March 12 at 10:00 am and will take place in the classroom ex-chemistry, University of Messina, self-managed by students who are fighting against the sale of public (common good as the environment, health, water ). We therefore invite all and everyone to participate and contribute. There will be walkways available. Together we will decide which steps are put in place to counter the construction of the bridge over the Straits and to claim the safety of the territories. It underpins the future of us all.
